question about Si finish please

Just curious, is Si3d repels pretty much everything isn't Sifinish a bit pointless? or does Sifinish genuinely work with the coating?

does Si3D do the same job as ExoV3 too? is it the same as CSL and EXO together?

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt

Well, the answer is yes and no for the pointlessness of SiFinish.

SiFinish will sit on top of Si3D. It will have little bonding with Si3D as well, but mostly because it is so very sticky in texture, it will bond to pretty much anything. If you ever get it on your hands you will notice how sticky it actually is

SiFinish will protect the coating itself for a time. Less than just on paint, but still. As such, it will increase the lifespan of Si3D specially if used regularly.
Do you need to use it? No. Si3D will do the suggested mileage without SiFinish. But SiFinish will make it last even longer.

And one key point is that a lot of us still want to care for our coated vehicles and aid the coating to last as long as possible and maybe even add a bit more to it every now and then. Before SiFinish that was not really plausible. Sure you could use Reactivating Shampoo or Wash Coat, but they do not quite have the same hydrophobicity as just Si3D. SiFinish on the other hand beads and repels just as good as Si3D and even adds a little bit of gloss on top of Si3D.

SiFinish is more like a spray sealant. Not quite like a QD since it doesn't clean much of anything and doesn't work that well as a drying aid, but offers more protection than QDs so I'd classify it more as a very easy to use spray sealant. If that makes any sense

For Si3D, it is comparable to most single or two product coatings out there, just all of it in one bottle. With a single product and single application it should be good for atleast 30.000km / 18-19k miles. And that it should do without any topping up with anything, no booster products, just with cleaning. With SiFinish used every now and then, a lot more than that.
