Shelf Life

Hi, I have some Nano lex products which were bought a few years ago (maybe 5yrs), could you tell me are they still useable or are they past their shelf life?

What I've got is:

Paint cleaner Premium
Paint & Alloy Premium
Glass cleaner premium
Glass Urban

I've used the glass product last year and it left a grease like film so it must be gone of by now, wondering is it the same for the other products.

Thanks
Jozi

I am sorry Jozi, this post completely went past my radar

Usually our products have at least two years of shelf life. But five is probably too much for them.

The cleaners are probably still somewhat useable, but the sealants might have had it I'm afraid. At least that's how it sounds by the Urban. You could give the Paint & Alloy Sealants a small try on pretty much anything painted, it doesn't even have to be a car. Just clean a test spot very well, give it a very thin application of the sealant and see what happens. But shake the bottle very thoroughly before using it
The worst case is that the sealant doesn't really bond and or the nano particles have gone bad, but it will not damage the surface in either case. You'll see it once you try to apply it. It'll either spread funny or will be hard to buff off or the nano particles will not bond and you'll remove them as well when you buff it off.

Thanks Pete, it was a long weekend and didn't think I'd get a reply so soon.

Sounds like I might have to bin bin them, will try them before I do so though! Thanks.

Similar query - I have half a bottle of Si3D purchased around a year ago. No obvious change in appearance, but ... is it OK to use? Or, just better to bin it?
Thanks and regards

Hi there tac1

If there is nothing visible floating in the bottle like flakes or crystals and the liquid looks clear and seethrough rather than milky then yes it should be good to go.
I would suggest to try out a small test spot somewhere not so visible at first, just to see if it still goes on without trouble. If there would be any kind of problems you should see them straight away during application.
