Bare metal polish flat faced alloys

Hi guys,

I'm looking for tips on bare metal polishing flat faced alloys. BBS Monza II off the MK5 Golf GTi to be specific.

I've mirror polished a good few parts and wheels now, but never something so flat.

I normally use a drill and arbour with a range of cutting and polishing soaps. I'm worried this will give a wavey finish.

Am I best with a sanding block and wet and dry paper?

Thanks
Chris

I would start with the wet and dry in a sanding block, once you’ve worked your way up then continue as before with the drill and arbor.
