My Wifeís First Car

As I mentioned in my B6 Passat thread, Iíve brought another car
This is going to be my wifeís first car, which she will be learning to drive in and hopefully using once she passes her test.
Hoping to have this on the road properly by the end of the month but itís in need of a proper clean as itís filthy.

I got it home tonight but didnít tell the wife I was picking it up, so Iím in the good books (for a minute). Iíll get some proper photos up as soon as I can just so you can all see how bad it really is

Made a start on this today, decided to give the outside a proper wash first but before that hereís what Iím starting with.

It doesnít look to bad from a distance, but I think the colour is quite misleading.

Gave everything a good dose of G101 and left it to dwell

And went round and agitated with a brush

I removed the rear lights, and cleaned behind them (but forgot to get photos) then did a pre wash which I sprayed ODK breakdown followed by a coat of ODK arctic and again left to dwell

After that it was given a 2 bucket wash with ODK jet then decontaminated with AutoSmart
Red 7

It was then washed again and dried off with ODK Exhibit it before it started raining, but at least itís now ready to be clayed, polished and waxed but that will be next weekend.
Hereís the finished results from today.

Tomorrowís job will be the interior, and this is what iíve got to sort....

Me thinks this will be fun, I will be using more G101 to start with along with a wet vac followed by some of this

I think Iím going to take the seats out to do this plus it means I can do the carpet properly as well, and also make it easier to steam clean the roof lining.

Looking good JR.....haven't seen many Corsa's in that colour at all.

As said above, looks pretty clean apart from the close ups! Pretty sure it's gonna look rather clean once you are done with it!

I will be glad once it is finally clean, because at the moment you get filthy just looking at it
Never seen a car in this state before with a current mot, I tís a proper health risk so far Iíve spent six hours on it

That's going to smarten up just fine - you've probably added £200 to the value just getting the outside dirt and algae free !
