First DA attempt

Afternoon all
Thought I'd post up my results as a first time DA user. I have to say, wow! What an amazing bit of kit these things are!
The test subject was my mums Nissan Juke in the hardest colour to look good: black.
It's never been properly washed, decontaminated, paint corrected or sealed. I have to admit for a 4 year old car the swirl marks were ridiculous.

We didn't have a massive amount of time as she was on her way for a weeks holiday and wanted a quick clean. So I thoughts I'd focus on the bonnet with that being in my opinion the worse effected area.
My weapon of choice, brand new Slim's Detailing DAS6 with Auto Finesse refining pad and Poor Boy's Black Hole.
I wanted to see the result as anyone truly does, so decided to do a 50/50 with the bonnet. Now bear in mind this was my first time using one, and I did zero paint correction, just buffing with the Black Hole.

Of course the car was snow foamed using Auto Finesse A, then 2BM cleaned using a wash mitt, then onto clay.
After less than 15 mins with the DA I was astounded

The clear colour and swirl reduction on the left left me gob smacked for such an easy job. My sceptic wife even looked and was speechless.
After the full bonnet...

I sealed it using my Polish Angel Centurion which went on and off so easily

Overall chuffed with my first attempt. Cant wait for a full day off work to have a go on my car but with the proper 2-3 stage pain correction.
Any advise or critique let me know

What car have you and colour would be a good start. Nice job with your first attempt using a DA.

Wow - looks great, PB Black Hole is still one of the original and best for me. Good work!

First DA attempt

Always get some great results with PB if your after a quick mask of swirl marks and a deeper gloss. try Megs 105 & Megs 205 or even Megs ultimate compound and Megs polish then add PBs black hole then seal with a sealant like EGP or sealant of your choice then add your wax and stand back and look at your swirl free extra glossy protected car

Great effort. I'm still terrified at the thought of machine polishing. Will need to watch a few tutorials first.
