Thanks Niall, Iíd resigned myself to it just looking ďpresentableĒ but itís come up rather well! I still need to go around the strut tops and use some tar remover to take off some old transport wax and quality control pen marks then itíll be done.

Hope youíre well matey!

Yep that's me!

http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...black-t471721/

Mine is 2011 320d MSport Plus. Currently with 112,000 so it is but a pup compared to yours. Had it since July 2014 with 77,000 on it

So far only big expense has been clutch & DMFlywheel @94,000 which was £715 at a local specialist

Other than that it's been brakes & tyres - now on non-runflats
Spares and service parts from ECP or carparts4less depending who has the biggest discount at the time

Nice car there. Iíve just seen this but havenít read any post so I do apologise in advance. My dad has one in New Zealand and heís got an app called Carly for bmw and you have this dongle you plug into your obd and you can change all your car setting like your day time running lights etc etc. Worth a listen ok. Costs about 80 pounds also. I did a similar thing to the fords that I had and activated things that the dealer wouldnít do without costing the earth.

Lovely car and looking forward to seeing your progress with it.
I've been looking at these for a couple of months now and they seem great value.
For me it has to be post Aug. 08 as the road tax over here in this simple little country of Ireland is crippling before that date and petrol due to the horrifying stories of timing chain failure on the N47 engine.
Has yours any history of timing chain problems ?

Very nice, I have a soft spot for this era of BMW cars. I had a 2007 BMW 530d E60 M Sport, loved that car. I'd swap my F30 330d for it any day of the week.

Amazing result on the engine bay clean up. Well done.

Thanks man, appreciate it as mine is an early model itís the M47N2 engine, itís the later model N47 that had the issues. Only swirl flaps and turbochargers on mine, luckily theyíve both been done.

Best of luck finding the car for you, I havenít driven mine much but Iíve driven them before and think itís a great all rounder.
