Polo GTI first wash

After deciding a fiesta st wasn't practical enough and not the most comfortable of cars, it was to decided to go back to vw land with a polo gti, this also being the second polo gti ive had. Picked her up 3 weeks ago and thanks to the weather only just managed to give it a quick wash and once over, unfortunately no before photos as I wanted to get on so only afters.

Products used were mainly autoglanz products

The old fiesta it replaces

And the old gti

Ooh now that is a nice colour for the car, suits it really well, looks so much nicer than the Fiesta and the previous GTi - wonder if it's the colour or 5 v 3 door, but the new GTi looks much nicer

Easily the best colour for a Gti. Those alloys are difficult to clean though!

Definitely the better choice to trade up to, not saying the ST was a bad car, It just wasn't comfortable enough for me and it didn't have the quality feel about it compared to a VW.
Although there's a few retrofits i going to get done to bring it up to the spec i would like, like a armrest and auto lights and i would like to see if car net can be enabled although the dealer i bought it from says it can't.

Thanks, it does need a good polish to bring it up to standard, as being dealer prepped it wasn't the best as i did find some bird etching on the roof which will need sorting soon

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, the quality and comfort of it sealed the deal for me over the fiesta

Armrest is fairly easy to do, cheap on eBay and you can either buy the one that slots into cupholder, or one that needs a bit of the tunnel taking out and bolting in place
I'm on the fence about it as it covers the handbrake, and so far I haven't missed it that much

Not sure on auto lights as they need a sensor (mine already has it so didn't look into it too much)

Car net app upgrade is a doddle, dealers are lying to you cos mines booked in for the work next Tuesday. It's just a software update and will cost you £220 ish but well worth it imo.

Thanks for that, I think I'm going to speak to dealer again about the software update when I get some plates made up, only reason I've want an armrest is mines a dsg so it's quite handy and plus I had one in my old gti and it's quite hardly for that extra bit of storage
