Karcher 5.55M troubleshooting

Hi all

My pressure washer kicks in with the vario lance attached and set to mix/min but if you try and start it with the lance on max or with my snow foam gun attached water comes through but the motor will not run hence there is no pressure.

When there is nothing attached to the hand gun it also kicks in ok. Seems it wont work under load.

Anyone experienced anything similar. Was going o order a new hand gun but i am not 100% convinced it will fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.

hmmmm my K2.35 did that just before xmas...Exactly the same problem.
Then first wash of the new year it started working fine, but making a very odd sound. Then the pump seemed to "jam" knocked the power out in the house

I bought a new one, but my K2.35 is a cheap one compared to your one and it was pretty old 4 yr plus.

Now a Bosch man.

Not really helping but, thought I'de mention it.

do you have a water stop connector fitted to the hose as these can produce problems, if so take it out & replace with a straight through connector then try again.

hope that helps.

Yes I do. To be honest I did have that in the back of my mind so removed them and tried without very quickly and it didn't make any difference a coupe of weeks ago.

I am going to try that avenue again thanks.
