UPVC windows - any car stuff work?

Hi
is there anything in the detailers armoury that might clean the white upvc surround on windows nicely does anyone know?

Im tempted to try BH auto foam on the glass as well.

I would expect a paint cleaner to do a good job - they're very similar to the PVC cleaners you can get.

I was told by a window fitter years back to try mildew spray, as the plastic is micro porous and the black stains are fungus sitting in the mottled surface. This is why scrubbing does nothing to shift the marks.

mildew spray from the supermarket worked a treat and also worked very well on some white plastic garden chairs i had back then.

OK not car related but most people have some in the house - Cif cream cleaner, basically exactly the same stuff as most non solvent based trade upvc cleaners.

I generally use a strong (6-10%) APC mix to clean or you can buy uPVC restorer - http://www.wilko.com/wallpaper-paste...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds

If you've got scratches in the frame you could try T-cut white.

I'd be a bit wary of using a solvent cleaner in case it damages/removes any silicone.

Autoglym super resin polish works a treat once the dirt has been cleaned off with apc.

Carper Spotless works amazingly well, really gets them back to factory white.

Spray on and leave to dwell for a few minutes, wipe off with damp microfibre and rinse with clean water.
Try not to scrub or use a scourer because that leaves the surface slightly rough, which in future allows the dirt & mould to stick.

Yes AutoSmart G101, Autoglym CleanAll, Advanced TFR & Acid Free wheel cleaner all work well.
