My point was...whatever you put ontop of a wax will affect the wax characteristics in some way may it be gloss or water behaviour. If you want the benefits of your wax dont top it with anything but rather wax the car more often say once a month.

BSD if you are after brilliant beading and 2 months+ protection. Works brilliant as a drying aid.

Not a QD as such but Adams guard and gloss is just as quick to use , leaves a nice glossy slick finish and last quite well

What's the latest version called? Can it be used on a dry car? I think I looked it up and it mentioned using as a drying aid after final rinse?

Have you tried AM Details QD Plus...it works well, helps as a drying aid, adds gloss and gives a few weeks protection. Smells of bananas
