I think so. Having driven the mini it's great funC the charger just runs out of puff too early, whereas the Ibiza hits 20psi and holds around 18psi, it's a very strong kick. What this has highlighted tho is how shot my coilovers are. Mini is so tight and Ibiza just floats, new AP's on pronto!

It's been a very car-centric day in all tbh... picked up my wife's new-to-her Cooper S, got her 1303s out of storage and replaced its fuel hose, cleaned it, cleaned the Ibiza, then fully detailed the Mini.

The bug:

And the Mini:

It's on quite a nice set of John Cooper Works split rims. I got the exterior done today but inside is a tip so that's the mornings job.

Depending how I'm doing for time I may finally get round to putting the new drivers seat in the Ibiza and maybe clean the fastback ahead of Stanford Hall VW show next weekend.

Still got the Lupo Sport up for sale too:

My wife's got it up for £2000, it's a very original Sport, 100bhp 1.4 16v. If you know anyone who might be interested please send them my way, price is negotiable.
And yes the mini is my fave colour they did them in, was a bit dull but gave it a full paint detox (iron-x, tardis, clay), then a going over with megs swirl-x and it came out great, brought the fleck out in the paint nicely. It's got a good coat of dodo juice on now.

The new bushes have really improved things, feels nice and tight and 'together' again. I will get round to getting the new coilovers on at some point as the old ones are a little softer but they are fine for now, my wallet has had enough of a battering recently from this car!

New coilovers and top mounts went on today. Feels miles better! The old set didn't look too bad but as I suspected the rear shocks were toast.

Need to let the new set settle and get them dialled in and an alignment done, I'm riding a little high right now!!

Here's a pic before, on the old set:
