Scholl/CG Hex Logic Pad S20 Black

Needing some help or advise here, with selection of pads to use with S20.

After reading all the recommendations and reviews for S20 Black I decided to get myself a bottle.

Now this was to be used on a 2007 Touran with the standard swirl marks and a few deeper.

Not expecting the paint to be be totally perfect, I still found myself doing 2 sets and did not see any major difference.
(on this instance I jumped up to Koch Chemie H8.02).I used my force drive DA from in 2 Detailing and CG Green Hex Logic Pads.

Should I have changed the pad to either the orange cutting pad or the purple Scholl pads? or was it just a case of bad technique?

It's not clear from your OP, what pad did you actually use the S20 with?

On my Toyota (UK-built and with "medium" paint) I find I can correct light swirls or diminish deeper marks using the purple Scholl spider pads and a couple of sets. I am currently looking for a compound and some more aggressive pads to add to the kitbag.

If you want to correct harder paint (and my assumption here is the Touran will be fairly hard) I think you will definitely need something more aggressive than the Scholl Purple Spider, and you may well need something more aggressive than S20, depending on the severity of the defects.

If you've tried H8 on orange Hex, I'm surprised if you didn't get much results from that? Or do your pics only show the results from the S20?

Sorry quickly edited, I was using a Green Hex Logic pad with both the S20 and the Koch Chemie.

I think I'll try the S20 with CG Orange Hex Logic Pads. If this doesn't work will then have to purchase more H8 or try Scholl S3xxl.

I'm no expert detailer but I have found the yellow CG heavy cutting pads I have, barely touch the surface of the Audi and BMW's I've polished with my DAS6. Takes a couple of minutes of working S20 into a panel 2-3 times over to see the light swirls go. I've never gone as far or wanted to go as far as the deeper scratches, even with the paint depth gauge I have.
