Do you mean the part that goes around the hub?

I go with good old hammerite as long as you don't intend doing lots of track days

I recently had my new discs powder coated in high temp powder radially around the hub center and the disc edge. Looks good and super hard wearing. Then just masked up and gave the mounting faces of the discs a light coat of hammerite from an aerosol.

Depends what brand you're getting. I bought some brembo disks for a merc the other day and the sides of the top hat and the ends of the disk came painted which is a nice touch and should keep them looking better for longer.
