Nissan Skyline GTR - detailR - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

This one won't be a super in depth write up.
I was asked to go over the car by a local tuning company. They employed someone else to give the car a two day detail but the owner was very unhappy with the end result.
The paint felt rough and had decontamination, swirls, a burn on a window rubber, missed bits all over the shop.
In fairness, I hadn't seen the car before the initial work but anything that should have been machine polished should feel smooth and at least be decontaminated?

The car was worked in around other projects which is something I'd never normally do so there are few photos.

The order of the detail,

Full Auto Finesse safe wash and decontamination.
Single stage machine polish along the drivers side.
Two stage machine polish for the passenger side and bonnet.
Auto Finesse Desire for the paintwork.
Auto Finesse Mint Rims for the wheels.
Engine bay re-cleaned.
Underside of bonnet hand polished.
Door shuts Hand polished.
Glass sealed with Gtechniq.
Interior vacuumed and wiped down with ODK Cabin.

The car on arrival. It looked pretty nice.

Once the car was inside and clayed, it was masked up ready for polishing.

We don't want any more of this...

So a few polishing shots.

It's a little hard to tell from the photos but there's a fair amount of rotary haze.

As were the bumpers.

(this was hand polished around later)

There were a few stone chips letting the side down so these were touched in to make them less obvious.

That is one of the 100 original UK cars sold by Middlehurst Nissan, in that condition it’s value must be comfortably into the £30k region.

Stunning car, what a detail too! Great work.
