got her back home safe and sound.... chuffed is an understatement.....

I never took an image of the interior after it was cleaned, sadly no before, it looked disgusting, truly grimy and unloved....

there was a thick slimy grime all over everything and the carpets had that sticky just died in feel.... (shudders....)

Now I can start tweaking more....

Does look good, been thinking about doing similar to my grill but still haven’t made up my mind yet.

It was that pic which convinced me to do, the only thing i did different was leave the chrome as chrome.

I think I might have to experiment with a wrap of some sort, I might start with a Matt finish to add a bit of contrast.

so today I had a couple of hours to change a couple of detail bits, those who have been paying attention will know I hate things not right....

I'd previously bought the new lower dash trim panel as the soft touch coating around the key slot had worn off

now I could have stripped and redone it but for the price of a brand new panel it wasn't worth the effort...

much much better....
as on other cars I don't like the yellow interior lights so again good old Trup's came up with the goods....
Number plate lights, boot light, glove box and interior dome lights all done

old nasty

old versus new

I'm just waiting on the reverse lights to arrive and all done, sadly the car wasn't specc'ed with puddle lights or footwell lights, so that'll be a project for another day.

and I had to buy yet another set of number plates as some daft sod decided to treat the car to a private plate, I won't say who...!!!

VW and age related so hopefully won't scream look at me.....

the rear lights also had some love in having the surface scratches polished out so they now look brand new.

Where did you get your bulbs from? Every time I’ve tried to upgrade mine they all switch off as there’s not enough resistance with the led’s so the car thinks there’s a fault.

stellar service and never had any issue.... due to his popularity Trup's sometimes can take a while to respond but the lights he supplies, I've found, to be the best there is....
