Lightbulb OCD Kicking in, Scenario

Hi, Hope youre all well ,

I need help imagine the scenario a client/customer comes to you and say they only want a mini valet on the interior, lets say its just a hoover for arguments sake , but then you notice a big ol stain in the carpet do you

A) explain to the customer its going to need more than that and try and go for a full valet (stain removal )

B) do the job theyre paying for and ignore the big ol stains (i dont think i can)

C)Do the job but then your OCD kicks in and you clean the stain up

this hasnt happened yet but im new so i want to prepare, knowledge is power and all that also if there is any other outcomes then please add a D E F G ....

I'd go for A. It gives the customer a choice and the extra cost may not be as much as they were expecting. Alternatively they may have sentimental attachment to the stain and don't want it removed !

Speak to the customer, explain there is a big stain and would they like, at extra cost, you to sort it for them

Then the balls in there court, they say yes then great cos you can indulge your detailing need.
They say no and you have to get past it, their car, their money, their decision!

I would point it out and also take a photo for your own records. I'm not being funny but it could also go another way and they could deny it was there from the start and blame you for putting it there!

If you find something then let them know
If they want it fixed at extra cost then great, if not then leave it there, if it's one they've seen before or not, in a hidden place or not
Their money their choice
Simple
