So I now pay an extra £1/ mth for the next 12 months to bt and have saved the £40 after cancelling my sky.

As previous people have said - some really good deals on bt at the moment, and have full access to bt sport, Eurosport and the discovery channels.
You need to threaten to leave a bit harder, I'm on the full TV sky + HD package, no films, sports or broadband and £26pm

Thanks for the info, have now cancelled Sky and gone with BT. Just hope BT doesn't loose the Discovery/Eurosport channels.

I was out of contract and sick of playing the - I want to cancel game, tried it several times as been with sky for over 10 years now, most I ever got offered was 20% discount last September but not tied into a contract so could cancel with 30 days notice.

I am cancelling sky tomorrow. I have a nice Humax freesat box on the way. Sick of paying £70 for TV that I don't watch. On the website they are offering 15% discount which is sod all and not enough to make me stay.

I may get a NowTV kids sub, through Xbox as that Nick bloody Jr is the only sky channel that gets viewed.

Well I was thinking of haggling for sky q when my contract is up but reading the above I'm wondering if I should explore other options. Problem I'm thinking is, having 3 tv's I could do with the same system on each. The thought of having tv through a box eg freesat then some thing else like Now TV or kodi etc for films, kids channels will confuse the wife nicely (and if she don't get on with it we'll all know about it!!).
