1994 BMW E36 320i Coupe

So here starts what I hope to be a long term investment project. I am picking up on Thursday a 1994 BMW E36 320i Coupe with just 99k on the clock and only two owners from new. The current owner has had her for approx 16years and has been dry stored throughout with minimal use. To give you an idea, since 2006 she has done just 6k miles.

The car is absolutely stunning and a real credit to the current owner but he feels now is the time to move her on due to lack of use. My plans are to continue keeping her mint whilst having a bit of a project. Everything will be staying very OEM with minimal visual changes apart from a machine polish. IMO the car looks fab as it is so would be crazy to start lowering etc. I may give the suspension and bushes a refresh down the line but for now it is wanting for very little. Even the exhaust looks very new. Some metal pressed plates will be on order fairly quickly.

First up will be to get her in a show worthy condition with a good machine polish with a glaze, possibly PB black hole. Then top it off with Fusso but I haven't yet decided as it is only my second ever black car (I think).

Anyway here are a couple of snaps I got last weekend when I went to view. All going to plan she will be locked up in my garage by the end of play Thursday. I will only bring her out of the garage for occasions and definitely only when sunny!

We have only recently moved into a new house, well 3 months ago. The garage has really been a storage mess until this week. I had gradually reduced the number of boxes etc but with the car arriving within a week I really had a good sort out over the weekend and first couple of nights this week. Leaving me with this, only a couple of bags to be put in the loft and job done.

For some reason the camera lens has made it seem really narrow which it definitely isn't. One of the few advantages of buying a new build is that the garage is actually built to fit a modern car in hoping the car will tuck nicely over to one side and still be able to get to my cleaning bits down the back when working on the Kuga. Next photo will hopefully be the car tucked up on Thursday night!

Looks very nice Nick and hopefully no hidden issues given the limited mileage.

I do like that shape of Beemer and I'm no BMW expert but are the alloys from a newer model? They look very similar if not.

Garage looking good as well mate

Good luck with the project and keep us updated.

In fairness I don't expect the car to be perfect so money will be set aside to rectify any issues. Well spotted the alloys are M sport ones from the E46

It looks mint from the pics and I'd certainly be happy with it as a purchase.

To be fair I can't actually remember what the alloys should be but a mate had a later 3 series so thought the alloys looked familiar. They're kind of growing on me looking at your pics and as I said looks very nice and looking forward to your updates

Wasn't it good of your mate with his big estate to help you clear that garage?

The pictures don't do justice how clean the car is, and I'm surprised you can sleep at night with how little you're paying for it

A set of 16” e36 classic rims would look fab on that. Nice buy

Looks lovely! Subscribed.

I'll be interested to know which Wax you go for as I'm going to buy something specifically for my E39. Mine is Sapphire Black metallic, do you know what colour yours is? Cosmos Black?

Looks like a great project. There's a K reg E36 320i down the road from me that's been around for years and it runs Style 17s, (http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/17).

If you have the VIN it's a simple thing to check what style it would have been sold with originally. I'd also be checking to see if that spoiler is original to.
