Powermaxed tfr every wash?

Can I use tfr at wax safe dilutions every wash without causing harm or is it overkill

You can indeed pal.

I've used it at 15:1 upwards as my go to prewash for every wash I do with no degradation to my LSP.

I bought 25ltrs while it was on offer and with it's dilution rates, there's no prewash out there that touches it in terms of value for money, just my opinion though buddy.

Without labouring a point, it will be degrading your lsp. It may not strip it, but it will certainly degrade quicker when using such a tfr compared to a less agressive foam. Cleaning power will be better with a tfr, but the trade off is quicker degradation of your lsp.

I have Power Maxed TFR and agree with fatdazza that it will degrade the LSP over time. I don't use it every wash, only when the car is really filthy and I need the extra cleaning power.

If you do opt to use it every wash, it'd perhaps do you well to top up your protection with a QD to offset the effect somewhat of the TFR on your LSP.

It's worth mentioning that everything will degrade your LSP to some extent - rain, washing, any form of snowfoam, etc. Of course, the cleaner it is before 2BM wash the less chance of wash inflicted marring / swirls, so as with so many things detailing, there is a trade-off to be made. It also depends how your LSP of choice fairs under repeated treatment with strong detergent - some hold up better than others.

As above, any LSP will degrade over time regardless of your wash routine.

On that basis, I'd say my comment 'no degradation to my LSP' relates to a short term period 3-6 mths. By theat time, I've normally stripped my LSP and replaced with another.

AF Tough Coat was still going strong after 6mths of using PM TFR.

On a side note, poor prep prior to applying any LSP will lead to it's undoing in some shape or form.

PM TFR mixed in excess of 9:1 will not IMMEDIATELY affect your LSP.
