Exclamation My car of the day, new BMW 8 series coupe.

So after 20 years, the 8 series coupe makes a return with three body styles with a convertible and four-door gran coupe to follow next year. The 8 series is to rival the Mercedes S-class and Aston Martin DB11. This new coupe gets a unique chassis, suspension and powertrain set-up and tech has been borrowed from the GTE-Le Mans racer. The elongated bonnet, cab rearward silhouette and muscular rear haunches and carbon roof to lower it's center of gravity. Two engines will be available from launch, one diesel 840d and one petrol M850i. The 3.0 litre diesel develops 320 BHP and 640 NM of torque while a 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 for the M850i develops 530 BHP and 700 NM of torque. standard features for the M850i include active rear steering, adaptive rear suspension, a limited slip diff and sports exhaust.. A wealth of equipment such as full leather interior, LED headlamps, a Bowers & Wilkins stereo, 19 inch alloys and adaptive cruise control are standard. The diesel will start at £76,270 and rising to £100,045 for the M850i

haha rival the DB11. That might be what they're hoping but if I had £100k+ for a car...and I had a DB11 parked next to this....I wouldn't even spend a single second deciding. Living in dream land they are.

The rear end is messed up on this too.

As said in the other thread. Overpriced for what it is and compared to the concept design it looks pretty dull. Not for me.

I love it, and will seriously look at these as a replacement for my car in a couple of years time

Not a fan TBH, as others have said the rear end is just butt-ugly!
