First mini Detail since Op

Hello everyone this is my first little detail since my transplant 5 months ago. My mate who lives 3 doors away bought a BMW 318D M sport in dark purple, now the car was bought in a private sale and no history at all so having had a good look around it was clearly visible that the car has had a full respray.
So after a small chat with him we both decided that it will need a full correction in May, so today all I done was a complete decontamination of the paint followed by a Glaze to hide as much of the swirls which where every where..
By machine followed by 2x coats of DSW, all of the trim and bi pillars will be done tomorrow followed by the engine.

Sorry for no before pictures but pressed for time and the pictures where taken on my phone Feel free to comment

Before shot, very dull looking

Lots of swirls and a terrible paint job

I gave him a quick lesson how to use the DA, Sonax perfect finish on a Rupes white pad, after I cut it with KochChemie H8-02.

Because of the light it was hard to see how good the finish was but very happy with the boot lid, this was just to show him what is capable after a 2stage correction.

Finished photos

Jobs to do are Headlights need sanding and polishing, exhaust pipe needs polished, and interior needs sorted, overall today it took me 6 hours from start to finish so not bad at all just very tired now

Nice work and colour Mick - looks sooo much better now.

I’ll bet you enjoyed that and can’t wait to do the full correction in May.

Glad to hear of the progress you're making and hope you’re taking it easy tonight!

Nice job Mick and a big difference from the first to last pic. Good to see you're feeling well enough for a 6 hour detail long may it continue
