M3 Detail

It seems a long time ago that I started this thread. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=356290

Well that car went back to the dealer I bought it from after 3 months as it was a shed. I had however bought a DA6 Pro and Merzerna starter kit. That never got used.

6 month's later I bought an Estoril Blue M3 that had belonged to a detailer at some point, so was in great shape bar some road rash.

Started with snow foam
Wash
Dragon breath FA remover
Clay with mitt.
DA with finishing pad and final cut.
BH Double Speed Wax

I think its turned out well. I removed quite a few deeper scratches and 90% or the swirls.

After

I still need to clean up some trim and the exhausts. Then to start in the interior and get the wheels sorted.

No offence meant, and possibly there's a good reason, but I have to ask! Why only detail it when you're selling it? Why not keep it like that for your own Use?

(Reminds me of a conversation I had with a relatively small child of a neighbour.

Child "are you going on holiday?"
Me "no, why?"
Child "because you're cleaning your car, Daddy only does ours when we're going on holiday.")

No offence taken.
It does get washed regularly and given a coat of Colinite 467 every few months to keep it shiny.

I simply haven't had the time to go to this level of effort. With work, 2 kids, running a kids football team and doing an MSc. Spending a full day on the car just hasn't been possible.

I'm doing it now as obviously I want to present the car for sale in the best condition possible for the next owner.

Thsnks.

I don't I'm afraid. I just need something more practical for the kids and economical as I'll be doing a fair few more miles with work. The M3 has only done 61.5k miles. I dont want to pile the miles on the M3.

Its a fantastic thing and I will regret selling.

I've bought an XC90 to replace it with.

This needs some work
