56k Icon Black Supercharged Range Rover Enhancement +

Hey Folks

Been a while since I have posted some work

I was originally contacted by the owner (and forum member) of this sexy Supercharged RR to carry out an Interior Deep Clean to remove the smell of smoke. Whilst carrying that out we got chatting and I was booked to come back and carry out an Enhancement Detail (Not A Full Correction Detail) for the exterior. The day after the interior clean I contracted Glandular Fever and was out of action for three months, luckily Rory was understanding and waited for me to be well enough.

Somewhat naively I only booked to do the work in a day, then a day and a half, then two days...

Please excuse my photography skills and lack of during pictures, time was still going to be tight on this one.

Products Used

BH Surfex HD 1:4
AB Brite Gel (1st time use and impressed )
Autosmart Alu Shine (On Wheel backs)
Dodo Juice Mellow Yellow
BH Surfex HD 1:10
BH Autofoam
Autosmart G101 1:10
Various brushes
Dodo Juice Born to be Mild
Lambswool Mitt
Autosmart Tardis
Bilt Hamber Soft Clay
AB Deluxe Blue Drying Towels
Gloss It Gloss Enhancer QD
Single Layer Paint Depth Gauge
Festool Shinex Rap 150 Fe
3M Extra Fine
3M Yellow Pad and Spot Pad
3M Ultrafina
3M Blue Pad and Spot Pad
Festool Polish Removing Spray to check finish
Britemax Twins
Kestral DAS-6
3M Black Pad
Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite
Dodo Juice Supernatural
AB Very Cherry Wheel Wax
Duraglos Aquapel Glass Cleaner
Megs Endurance Tyre Gel
Megs Trim Detailer
Jeffs Prime on Grilles
Zaino Z8

So on with the detail.

Process was, Arches/Wheels Cleaned, Degreaser Sprayed on Lower Panels followed by whole car Foamed - gaps/badges etc cleaned with APC, re Foamed the Pressure Rinsed, Two Bucket Method Wash, Open hose rinse, De-Tarred, Re-Wash and Rinse De-Tarred panels, Clay, Foam and Rinse, QD and Dry. I then took Paint Depth Readings around the car. This was carried out on the first day starting at 3:30 until 8ish.

Picture Time

Day II, was originally due to just have a single stage machine polish and I spent most of the day doing this having agreed with the customer that it could run into the next day for a machine paint work cleanse, wax and dress. So at the end of the day of polishing and after an inspection wipe down I gave some attention to the side bars and exhausts.

Day III, Pre Wax Cleanse via DA, 2 coats of wax, Windows polished, Trim Dressed, Wheels Sealed, quick interior vacuum and wipe down. Finish 4pm, with final buff and wipedown to be done later in the evening.

Final wax buff and Z8 wipedown

The following pictures were taken by the customer, before the final buff and Z8 wipedown, who has a far better grasp of how to take a decent picture. Thanks Rory.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading

Any comments about the work welcome
