Need Help

Seasons Greetings to you all.

Not sure if this is in the right section but he goes.

Yesterday one of my passengers managed to open their door straight onto a brick wall. On checking this morning I noticed they appear to have just moved some of the clear coat right on the edge of the door make a very small ripple and I'm just wondering if its something i can sand down?

The paint underneath appears unscathed it is a very small ripple but with it being right on the edge of the door you can just see it.

I have never attempted any sanding but it is such a small ripple it is not worth bothering a bodyshop. So I'm just looking for advice on what gear to buy and how to attack to job.

Cheers in advance Steven

The problem with sanding it is the likelihood of you breaking though. If it is rippled you will sand down the peaks of the ripples first.

Some pics would be good so we can see what you are dealing with.

Watch videos on youtube of a professional doing similar job.

Someone who has a business, not a DIY bodywork hero
