Cheap yellow foam pads ?

Was thinking of getting some of these from Amazon / e-bay etc for cleaning exhaust tips with metal cleaner, applying wax to father in laws (oldish) wheels etc...

Don't want something that's going to fall to pieces as you use it first time or something rough, just after some help / advice as to what / which and from where people tend to get.

Any specific recommendations would be great

Cheers

I’m assuming you mean the yellow foam applicator pads, about palm size, rather than machine pads? I use them, something like £1.09 for a dozen last time I looked, including postage! Granted they take a couple of weeks to arrive but they are ridiculously cheap and tbh, for most jobs they are not that bad. I’ve used them for everything from waxing to tyre dressing and for the price they can be considered disposable so longevity isn’t really a factor although I’ve kept one in a wax pot and found it easily reusable after a couple of weeks. Perfect for what you have in mind, just remember to order a couple of packs at a time and be prepared to wait for them.

I bought similar off eBay and apart from the wait have no complaints for using for trim, exhausts, tyres etc.

I wouldn't use them on my paint but for all other jobs they're fine. If you do a search for applicator pads on ebay loads come up.

I've got a couple of the wo-wo ones and they're great, but I don't want to use them with metal polish etc - bit too good really - was looking at the yellow cheap ones.

Cheers

Yep, those are the ones I was thinking of, just wondering if they're all pretty much the same or if some were better than others ?

Cheers

I think they're all pretty much the same. Tried to check my eBay history to find where I got them but it's too far back.

Pretty sure I just picked one at random that was a decent price IIRC they took bout 4 weeks to arrive though

Cheers for that, if they're all pretty much same, then going to have a look later on and splash some more money.
