I assume you are talking about organic search. You will need to read up on SEO. There isn't a one-click solution and it won't happen overnight.

There are various factors which will affect your sites performance in search listings, such as:

- Properly formatted HTML
- Well written copy including keywords (but don't stuff keywords in to your copy, it should be first and foremost readable)
- Lots of links in to your site. Quality is better than quantity. Find some online directories which have links to other sites like yours. You haven't specified what sector your site is based in but look to blogs about your sector and offer to write a blog article for them for free with a link back to your site
- Regularly updated content. A blog/news section will make your site active and appear to the search engines that your site is kept up to date and not stale
- Site speed - The time it takes your site to load up will have an affect. If Google thinks your site loads up slowly and there is another site which it feels has similar content but loads quicker then it is more likely to rank that site higher.

There are many many more factors and it is a real mixed bag.
