gtechniq l1 leather guard for boots

got a nice new pair of leather boots and looking to waterproof/protect them,

anyone used gtechniq l1 on their own?

I've only ever coated trainers with it and does a great job, on my timberlands though I use the proper timberland wax, it's expensive but have aways had good results, they are nigh on waterproof, even went paintballing in them and they didn't let a drop of water in, then cleaned them up and they look as good as new

actually - t1 works great on leather - had a customer in Scandinavia who found T1 to work great on keeping leather from going soggy
