Winter Collies

I waxed my Fanny for the winter - thank you for your suggestions.

Collies 476 is a wax that has been around since the dawn of time - so I had low expectations, however I was quite pleased with the results, especially the beading:

1.

2.

3.

4.

5. The morning after application there had been a shower: check the beading!

6.

7.

PS, Fanny is the name of the car ;-)

I can't recommend Colinite enough and it's always my go winter wax, your beeding shots are proof and it will still bead like crazy in six months time.

What he said ^^^

I've seen loads of the new rs focus at work, they have all had the black wheels.

But I must admit the silver looks massively better

It is a popular myth that anything that has been around for a long time is automatically inferior and outclassed by newer alternatives. Like all myths, it's twaddle.

I've been using 476 applied direct to cleaned and polished paintwork for some years - its appearance and longevity have never given me any real desire to try much else (and the only time I did, I was disappointed with a product that simply didn't live up to the hype expressed around this forum, and I reverted to the Colli).

I too prefer the silver wheels. I have yet to see any car which looks better with black wheels.
