VW Passat V6 4motion...Now Skoda Octavia vRS 10/08/2015

Well only picked this up today, travelled from Glasgow down to Southend to collect it. Its a 1999 V6 Syncro (looks like the 4motion badge has replaced the syncro) with 44k and a fsh. Unfortunately at present i only have a couple of pictures so far:

the mileage is amazing for the year:

im sure there will be more updates once im back in Glasgow

Lovely motor, it is a surprise to see one that age with so little miles on it.

Thats what i thought, but confirmed by dvla and all the service history, the owner only did 2-3k per year and serviced it the same time every year

Well first thing will be a good detail, probably wetsanding a majority of the car then look at other small things needing fixed (nothing major).

Very nice mate. Those wheels look a little '' lost '' in the arches though. Any plans for some s8's ? maybe a cheeky drop ? Get the lower extremeties colour matched, and you're in business.

This is the thing....usually i would say yes to lowering it, and change the alloys etc....but its such an honest car, original in every way sometimes you have to think, is it worth ruining the originality ? I understand what you mean about the alloys and i would prefer a st of BBS, or Merc AMG's on it, then i would have to lower it...never going back to coilovers so would be lowering springs....but at this stage im going to restore it to how it should be, and enjoy it and once im bored of that....then its time to start the modifications.

Fair play mate, to be fair i usually prefer originality myself. I would only touch cosmetics, as i believe that a blue chip company knows better than one man and his laptop. Good luck with the ownership. I guess the problem also with making it your own, is it makes it harder to move on later.
