When you say you have stripped it, have to stripped down to the gauze and cleaned that in limescale remover and a strong APC?

Thank you. Stripped it down partly will try it out tomorrow. I cannot get the screw out, it's been rounded off before I got it. it is the screw on the top mixer dial so I cannot access the gauze. Have cleaned it best I can so test tomorrow. Thanks all

You do not need to take the screw out of the top mixer dial to get to the gauze. Remove the plastic front of the lance (where the foam comes out), Then you can unscrew the brass body where the gauze sits.
