Polish before c quartz application

What polish could I use by hand to hide the swirls before applying a c quartz ? I do have carlack 64 and it cleans but I think the polymers in it will affect the c quartz coating.

For a coating to bond properly you need to have bare paint. Hiding swirls involves putting fillers into those swirls, which will mean the coating will not bond properly and will fail prematurely.

So this means if you want to apply a coating, you need to get the paint into a state you're happy with. By hand, it's (very) hard to get paint perfect but you can probably make a significant improvement with something like Meguiars UC or if the swirls are fine, Carpro Essence.

By hand then I would advise Carpro Essence. Have a look on their website it will give you some good information on how to apply it by hand. A guy I know applied it by hand last week to a black metallic paint and the 50/50 difference was amazing.

do cquartz not recommend that you do not use their coating over the top of essence if applied by hand?
