Wowo ceramic crystal or Tac Systems Moonlight

Thinking of a new product for winter protection. Both of these seem like good durable options.

Has anyone tried both? Which is your preference and why ?

Not tried either, but believe wo-wo crystal sealant can be a bit awkward if you don’t master application - I seem to remember reading it’s literally on and off, don’t let it dry. If you do master it, gets a good following

They are both very good. I think Wowo's is a bit better value for money, but TAC Moonlight is, as said above, slightly easier to use if you don't get the application of the Crystal Sealant correct. Hard choice!

I would go with the easier option, personally - moonlight looks extremely easy to use (as long as you don't use a sprayer, but an application pad/cloth instead).

I was worried about using Wowo's but found it no problem at all. It's very flexible and can even be used as a top up after washing whilst the car is wet, use the drying towel to simply wipe it off. Good on wheels and will also do windows.

I topped mine up the other day and to be honest I went heavy with it to see what would happen. After drying I noticed that in places there was a bit of a haze but I just went round and buffed off and it was fine.

I've had it on wheels for 5 months and it's still going strong. I will definitely be getting more of it.

Any application tips on the crystal sealant.

Is it best applied with a foam of microfibre applicator

What do you do with the cloths, just wash them straight away.

Work in small areas. I tend to mist it onto a MF applicator or folded low pile towel, quickly spread over a 20 x 20" area then use another low pile towel to quickly buff away.

Speed is key and less is more. Microfibre is better to apply with and yes, wash them straight away.

I use Wowo’s crystal sealant as a wheel sealant and it’s brilliant, straight on and off, I use it as a drying aid/top up on my wheels every few washes.

One tip I would give you is, apply it to bare paint as it doesn’t seem to like being applied to any other products.

Their QD is also very good.
