VW Golf R32 Estate - detailR - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

I was asked to get this mk5 Golf ready for Ultimate Dubs at the beginning of march.
The engine TDI blew up on a Euro trip back in 2016, since then it sat under a tree until the owner decided to do something with it a few months ago.

He chose to swap the engine out for the V6 lump from an R32 Golf, along with the gear box, rear Heldex diff for AWD goodness. Air ride set up, some 3 month old Audi RS4 wing back seats and a host of other tricks.

I know this car won't be for everyone, but hey-ho

On arrival

Once the car was inside I could have a good look at what was to come.

The roof didn't respond well to polishing so I chose to wet sand it to try and salvage what I could.

I'll fast forward to some polishing before and afters.

A 2 stage Major Enhancement detail was chosen to remove as many defects as I could in the time frame.
The car has been fully repainted - at different times - which made it interesting.

Amazing work mate, you should be very proud! Love the idea of the R32 engine & running gear in an estate - but again I think the wheels are a little 'marmite' . . !
