You're right.... Lad at work yesterday mentioned price increase and asked if I noticed. I just said no. He made a joke, but then as I pointed out, what's the point? Either way, you need fuel and you need to pay. Nowt you can really do about it TBH.

Remember that "road tax" isn't really a tax to pay for the roads. VED doesn't pay for road repairs.

stoppped been ringfenced in 1937.

i like the way there was no correction on coco pops been used to fill potholes

They've been doing the same cheap repairs up here.

They did one road on a roasting hot day. The light amount of tar put down before the loose stones didn't harden. The cars that used the road were peppered with stone chips and tar. Doubly successful.
