Wetcoat alternative??

My Gyeon Wetcoat is nearly done and Iím looking for any alternatives.

I find the wetcoat works great but only one negative is with my black paint. Seems to leave some residue behind.

Has anyone advice regarding similar products that work well on black paints??

Carpro Hydro2 lite is Carpro's version...to be honest apart from it being a different colour and smelling different it seems to perform exactly like Wetcoat - which isn't a negative but doesn't offer anything over and above.

Have you tried using less product to ensure you don't leave any product behind, by this I assume you mean product streaking?.

cheers

Chris

I also get the residue. This time I think was due to the hot weather, as I only seemed to have the residue on the side that had the evening sun.

That said, a bit of QD and it buffed away easily enough.

I probably use too much product though. When it's so easy to spray on you kinda feel like you need full coverage of the panel, though probably a squirt or two is enough.

To be honest I think itís just my deep pearl black paint. I donít experience any residue or streaking with any other colours. In fact the wetcoat just doesnít seem to perform as well on my car in terms of longevity than the mrs silver s max or my daily Passat.

I have read about the residue/streaking with wetcoat and black paint before so was hoping there was another alternative which does the same job without this. Ideally I donít want to have to use quick detailed afterwards.

Thanks

Peter

I find most of these spray on rinse off products very similar.
I use purityX as its dilution rates are amazing.
