The £49 Fabia 1.9tdi

Been after a cheap to run car for a while ideally a black edition a3 so couldn't really got any further away tbh but anyway, today a family member that was going to austraila said i could have it if I payed the cancelation fee for the insurance.

It's not very nice inside

Plans are really just tidy up the interior, tidy the exterior up with minimal costs lights need a restoring and needs a general good de contamination looks like it been parked in a bush and never washed.

Will probably buy some winter tyres for front too and probably do a timing belt.

Here she is in all her glory

Great little project nothing better than seeing a shoddy turnaround to a tidy example. Like the OkCharlie threads

Good news, insured it as of this morning and done 50 miles so far computer is telling me 47mpg so that's good coming from a shogun doing 17mpg on a good day.

Bonus good news when I got there to pay what I owed for the insurnace cancelation I was stripping my shogun in to a carrier bag with all my possessions and instead of paying the guy took intrest in the CD player out of my shogun and said that will do instead so technically it is free winning !!

Gave it a quick vac out before I went to work needs a brush and vac though tbh.

Took the horrible seat covers off to discover horrible seat stains, plans are attack with AG interior shampoo and a damp cloth if that fails (I have a funny feeling it will lol) then it will be getting properly wet vacced had good results with worse seats so we will see.

Also badly needs the lights restoring

Itching to get started should have a hour tonight on glass and plastics maybe even start the seats.

Probably not the best update a vac and some adhesive removed of the bonnet with tardis.
