56k Icon My car of the day, Honda Jazz sport.

The Honda Jazz has always had this stigma of being an old mans car but Honda have (sorry Jazzed it up a bit with this update in the hope that it will appeal to younger drivers, but can it? This updated version has a range of sporty exterior tweaks like gloss black 16 inch alloys and contrasting stitching in the cabin and an updated 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine. It has reworked Mac Phearson front struts and a rear torsion beam set-up to ease over the back breaking UK riddled pot holes. Interior space and practicality has always been the Jazz's strong point and it still remains the best in class. The interior cabin won't blow you away with it's scratchy plastics but in typical Honda fashion, it should be well screwed together. But the burning question is that if you want practicality and interior space then the Jazz wins hands down but if you want an entertaining drive then you may well want to look else where.

key specs:

price:£17,115
engine: 1.5 litre 4 cyl petrol
power/torque: 128 BHP/114 LB
gearbox: six speed manual
0-60 in 8.7 seconds
top speed: 118 MPH

Inoffensive and worthy of consideration as a town driver but not really a loin-stirrer!

£17k for that!!! . Eh NO !! Plus the dash is an absolute mess, no thought whatsoever into a flow or anything. It's like they shot a cheap £40 tablet into the dash at 20mph.

Cheaper than a 90bhp Micra Tekna

Quite like it, will no doubt be ultra reliable - great for a smaller family or as a second car

I'm a big Honda fan, but the 3rd Gen Jazz really doesn't do it for me.

Hondas have always been quite a nice place to be inside, but not so much in recent years, with really dated looking dash boards.

I'd much rather have the 2nd Gen Si, a far better looking car -
