VW Golf GTI Major Enhancement Detail - detailR - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

This is the second time I've detailed this car, almost a year to the date.

It came in last year to be tidied up after a respray where it was left very flat and dull. The paint work was corrected and Ceramic Pro Light applied.
The car then went on to collect a few trophies last year at various shows.

The car wen't back to the body shop for some warranty work - but they rushed it, gave the owner a ''courtesy polish'' and sent it out the door.

There was a lot of damage caused so a fair amount of work was needed to put it right.

The order of the detail,

Full Auto Finesse safe wash and decontamination process.
Multi stage machine polishing.
Ctechniq Crystal Serum Light and Exo applied to all exterior paintwork.
Wheels were coated with Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper last year and it was still holding up well.
glass polished and coated with Ceramic Pro Rain.

Onto the car.

The bonnet was painted and left in a bad way.

This was sanded to try and bring some sort of reflection and gloss.

The headlights were restored last year, but they returned with heavy etching.
They'll be having PPF applied at a later date.

Fantastic end result... I absolutely love this colour on the Gti

What had caused the etching on the headlights...?
