Question Protecting interior carpet

Has anyone used a product to protect interior carpets, and if so how did you find it in terms of effectiveness and longevity? At the moment I'm looking at Gyeon Q2 FabricCoat and Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant which both look similar performance-wise. Both require the carpet to be spotless so my original plan would be to vacuum and then steam clean, waiting for it to dry and then applying the product.

Put some Gyeon fabric coat on my mats and carpet at the start of winter. Come up perfect again with a quick hoover even with the dried dirt & grit etc. I’m very impressed.

It’s showing no signs of wearing 4 months in.
