Cheers bud.

I sold the cf dash bits. I'm of the same opinion as you, they've been dipped.....the sale of those funded the proper Rallye fascia

Nice Rallye, I remember Cars and Car Conversions doing a white one as a track project years ago, always preferred them to the GTI6. I've just bought a 306 myself but an estate HDI version so nowhere near as interesting as this one. They're still good looking cars nowadays though.

Did a bit more this morning but it's bloody freezing......

Arch had been bare metalled and had sat for a week. Luckily, I'd kept it dry. Bought some Kurust (sp?) treatment stuff and slapped that on this morning.......you can see the black patches where it's done it's thing on the surface rust...

Left it to dry with a fan heater stuffed into the arch....then got busy with some anti rust primer....all about the prep really and stuff used to keep it rust free long term.....That's now attempting to dry....so cold it didn't even want to spray properly....

Was hoping to start bare metalling the underside of the boot but it's soooooooooooooo chuffing cold and I can't find my goggles for when I'm using the grinder and wire brush

So, it warmed up a bit yesterday afternoon and the wind died down so got out and did a bit more.

2nd coat of normal primer on over the top of the anti rust stuff. That's gonna get wet flatted and painted this morning.

Also took off the heat shield for the exhaust. In a bit of a state with a lot of surface rust under the paint. Started stripping it back but ran out of light....

Arch flatted and painted. Again, not bad for a rattle can finish..... Pleased with it. Not fussed about the overspray as the beam will be coming off for the same treatment....

Great job there Ben. Whilst it's off change all the mounts unless yours hasn't got the distinctive knock and bang
