Mind if I ask a question. You've taken a number of natural 50:50 shots, using the door shuts as the dividing line. Now, if you do a 50:50 in the middle of a panel, would you always be able to see a slight ridge in the clearcoat? So a trained eye could possibly see where someone has done a 50:50 with tape?

Cheers

Not always no, but if its that swirly the compounding is extreme, which means the chances are high I will be left with a "step", just not worth it

Cheers bud. That explains it and just kinda what I thought. I always wondered why some use the shut lines for the 50:50, and others didn't.

Really lovely looking saab now bud.

Awesome Matt. My 280 should be on her way to you soon. Hopefully very few swirls and holograms to sort.

I have a Cayenne in a week on Tuesday that looks like this, I'll be sure to catalogue that one

What sort of price was this job? I have a black car with similar damage and I'm not too far away from you. PM me if you don't want to reply on the forum.

No not at all, the price is the price.
The whole job was £950 including wheel refurb, hub and callipers refurb. That was a tyre off and calliper off job and I had to facilitate it all. Obviously if it was just the detailing it would be considerably cheaper than that. Best bet would be to take a trip to the unit in the motor and we can look over it, I can give you an accurate idea. Rough guide, £600 over 4 days give or take
