Really like the car and your work on it.

Got a real soft spot for these but couldn't believe it when I saw the tax price on these!!

Bet they're worth it though! Keep the updates coming

Cheers mate I'm getting there slowly, very slowly !

The tax is a real shocker and pains me when the reminder drops on the door mat but I do love it so to me it's worth it :-)

Next update tomorrow is of the road trip variety, one that actually went well with no busted tyres or random fires haha...........

Love R32's, pure class. I remember seeing my first VR32 and nearly peed myself! I've never thought about a number plate surround nor pressed plates but this thread has made me decide to get both. Can get the plain black Euroclip surrounds for £5.79 delivered and a good quality set of pressed plates for £19.95 so I'm really happy with that. Just had a new front lower grill with chrome out edge strip delivered for my mk4 Mondeo so it'll finish the front off a treat. The back will look tip top to as that's just had a new ford badge and TDCi badge. Nice post....must resist looking at anything else

Had a blast around the Evo triangle at the end of may, Awesome road used regularly by The car testers of Evo magazine, its was a friday lunch time when we arrived so nice and quite and the weather was ok abit overcast but dry at least.

This is the first real time i've been able to open up the golf on some twisties and its fair to say it performed great no dramas !

I went round anti clockwise twice and clockwise once the second anti clockwise was stopping for pics !

60 miles in total of empty fast flowing roads and a big smile on my face

Lovely car, nice to see an example that is taken care of and abused rather than only abused.

How much is the tax in the UK for one of these? In NL it comes out to 730 pounds a year...

Not much happening with the golf at the moment, i have just emailed Sheffield volkswagen about having the common rusty arch problem checked so i can put in a warranty claim.

I have read a few posts about people having rusty arches resolved through VW. Mine seem OK and I've rolled mine now anyway ha.

Hope all goes well
