How much for 1 door.

How much would someone charge to do a light correction polish on one door?

Back story.

Friend at work managed to dent up her rear door (3 month old car, Ford focus in shadow black) as she left her drive early one morning. Missed the front door by mm's and only lightly scratched the rear quarter by the wheel arch.

Have managed to source a complete rear door in the right colour, so just need to swap it over. But it is covered in swirls unlike the rest of the car. Have hand polished it for now and will wait to see what it looks like once on the car.

But I was just wondering how much a light machine correction from a pro would cost if it came to it.

Where are you based?

The old door must have been a mess if it needed replacing?!?

Based in Essex.

A telegraph pole will do a lot of damage to thin metal lol

As I said she just missed the front door by mm's and lightly caught the rear quarter. But the whole length of the rear door was creased around the side impact beam.
Even if it could have been straightened it would have needed painting. New door was £250 from a breakers, right colour just might need a light machine polish to make it perfect.

No one with a rough idea of cost?

Basildon area but can travel

Have you asked any pro's in your area yet? They will probably charge you by the hour rate or phone a mobile valeting service that included single stage polishing.

I'd have done it for free, but Essex is a huge county and doesn't really help anyone with your location?!?

I often travel to Brightlingsea, I don't know if that's any use to you??

Thought Basildon (4th post) narrowed it down a little

I haven't as yet as I want to see what it looks like on the car compared to the other panels.

Currently looking at it laying flat inside under house hold lighting. Rather than upright outside on the car.
