Got mine from Screwfix for 12 quid when I was playing with wrapping some interior parts, has two heat settings and does everything I could ask of it. Will be pulled into action again soon to de-badge my new car. If I was stripping paint and needed it to run for longer periods then I’d probably have spent a little more. There is a Dewalt one around for about £50 if you want something more upmarket or Bosch do an LCD one for £130 if that’s your bag.
I picked up a relatively cheap one - about £15-20 couple of years ago and perfect, still going strong.
I looked at a much more expensive model and decided I didn't need to spend that much and it had 12 months warranty, so if it lasted 1-2 years everything wasn't lost...
Quick update if anyone interested.
Went for the Screwfix one, excellent value for money and a well built bit of kit.
Used it a few times for decal removal and works a treat.
Well recommended.
HTH.
That'll do, i've got a 25 plus years old Black and Decker one, still works fine. No reason to spend shed loads on one.
