Until recently my answer was no. I did a nice detail on my car so got some new stuff including an autofinesse aqua deluxe drying towel. It linted quite badly (it does say to wash it first on the package). I managed to fix that by soaking the towel and wringing out then continuing. Obviously if you weren't going to be using it damp or wet then you wouldn't be able to do that.. lesson learned.
