Iíve just got my daughter a Fiat 500 & I pick it up next fri so Saturday will be giving it a good going over as the paintwork isnít that good,,I donít mean itís full of scratches it just feels rough when I run my fingers over it so it will be a decon & clayed before polishing,,can any tell me wether the paint is soft or hard before I attempt to machine polish.?

Very nice - what colour has she got ?

Next door neighbours wife has a dark blue 500 and that was very ruff - responded very well to decontamination, clay mitt made a world of difference, then polished and sealed it - came up very well

In my experience fiat paint is reasonably hard, but tends to be very thin so be careful if you need to start and real polishing.
