Hi guys, would iron x remove rust from alloy wheels? my car has been sitting for a while (few months!) and now it’s back up and running but the alloys have rust stains on them and it looks terrible!!

You'd be amazed what a proper acid cleaner will remove.

Give some wonder wheels a go.

Alloy wheels dont rust. Corrode maybe but not rust. Do you mean steel wheels?

Personally id use the Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner. Its designed to turn any iron particles from the brakes and dust to purple and then wash off. There are lots of ally cleaners out there that also have that active ingredient in them that turns Iron purple to wash off but the Bilt Hamber one works the best for me.

Take a look here https://www.bilthamber.com/auto-wheel

I'm with Frank on thus if it's alloys they won't rust however may be rust coloured staining from steel parts.

If your normal cleaners aren't working go for wonder wheels as Harry said just make sure it's the suoer alloy wheel cleaner not their 'bleeding' wheel cleaner

Probably rust from brake dust ( which contains a lot of iron particles ) rusting and staining the wheels rather than the wheels themselves rusting.
