Jaguar XF Dodo Juice vs Hydrosilex

Hi this is my first post here in an age. I used to have a very nice Jaguar XF which was written off in a (non fault) crash in May. I’ve now got an XE in black. It’s a bit to get used to after 8 years of 3.0 V6 and 272 bhp but still a nice car. [you can see by the fact that I titled the post XF!!]

I applied Dodo Juice Purple Haze after I got the car (15 months old with 10k miles on the clock) and I do a lot of miles so keep that topped up.

Anyway this week I bought some Hydrosilex after being intrigued by the ads and reviews:

I decided to apply it to the bonnet and add another layer of Dodo Juice elsewhere to compare the two.

This is the car before I started, dirty but ok. Still beading ok.

No need to post pics of the cleaning itself, usual approach to washing and drying.

I clayed the bonnet, prepared with HDcleanse, and applied the hydrosilex:

After which I added another layer of Dodo Juice to the rest of the car.

I also decided to put Hydrosilex on the offside wheels and put Poorboys Wheel Sealant on the nearside for comparison.

Offside (also after Megs Endurance of the tyres):

Nearside:

To be honest I really liked both products on the wheels.

I wanted to see how hydrophobic it would be and wasn’t disappointed. Here’s a video of a jug of water being poured onto the bonnet:

All tucked away. Hope the pics show ok and look forward to any comments.
