The Collinite probably won't bond properly to the DSW and will likely fail far quicker than you'd expect.

Question is why do you want to re-wax your car again? Is the DSW failing?

It's probably best to do a full decon and start again.

If you’re going to polish with your DA, this will probably remove the previous DSW, I’d recommend using Meguiars shampoo plus as another option to remove / help remove the previous wax.

Can’t help with regards to AG EGP, but I know AG themselves don’t recommend using their wax over EGP - they say no benefit and I seem to remember if you were thinking about wax or EGP, AG recommended their HD / UHD wax rather than their EGP. In view of this, I’d be tempted not to use EGP, just polish and then wax your car

I can appreciate what Alan is saying. I have DSW and its a good product, especially now I am applying it better by wetting the sponge first. I too tried the Collonite on top of the DSW and whilst it may seem like a waste of wax on 'over kill' it does give a better finish.
As much as I like DSW I think when it runs out I will stick to the Collonite. To amateur eyes it gives a deeper shine. Could be it does not last for as long but I still prefer it.

Perhaps I should use just Collonite or Just DSW but maybe I/we will be getting the best of both worlds? Who knows.

I would say it is not worth it, double speed came out top on many tests here for a reason, you will get all tou need from two thin coats...

Would you put four coats of ds on perhaps not, it is not exponentially beneficial.

Well if nothing else I feel better for doing it. It beads beautifully. I got a giant dollop of bird ^&&^ on the car earlier in the week and it simply wiped off with a paper napkin.

All a matter of perspective. In the end we are trying to please no one else but ourselves. We each find our own 'best way', 'best products' ourselves. All finishes and products are subjective.

I know Heavenly did 50 coats on his VRX it is not to discourage anyone, the look may be subjective, it was the benefit of adding an alternative wax of another brand, Sonax BSD is an option.

I am not quite up to 50 coats. But I used DSW then I thought id try the Collonite. When the car has been left uncovered or unwashed for a couple of days etc I do use Sonax detailer to remove any dust/crust or marks. It really does come up a treat.

I am not a professional detailer just doing it for fun and the enjoyment of seeing a nice clean car.

One day I may get the finish I am 100% satisfied with but till then I will just work on it till I do
