You have two options :

1. realise that it's just a part of day to day life that we all have to grin and bear. Weather is unpredictable.

2. buy yourself a straight-jacket....there coming to get you!

Seriously mate, the more meticulous you get, the more crazy you become. I clean my car once a week - I sit back, appreciate how lovely it CAN and DOES look, and accept that the following day it can be covered in pollen/dust/rain/snow/anything. As long as I keep on top of bird mess, the rest can wait until the following week.

What no one has said is that no product is a Star Trek shield that won't allow dirt or water on your car. Only keeping it indoors will do that.

When my car is washed, it just takes 2-3 days and it is dirty again. Why does this happen?

Sorry, couldn't resist

I live by a beach - guarantee some seagull has left me a present within an hour of cleaning my car. I just smile because I know my hard work has protected the bodywork

My car gets covered in a fine layer of dust while parked at work which leaves dirt spots if it's parked up wet. I have used an air line to blow this off if it's dry before driving off, but I usually just rinse it off when I get home and leave it to dry. Or if it's actually dirty, give it a wash.

Part and parcel of keeping a car outdoors. I wash mine at the weekend and keep it on my drive. When I wake up the next day I know for a fact that it has been raining that night that a layer of black dirt will be sitting on the boot sill.

It would be boring if it didn't get dirty again. Where's the fun in cleaning a clean car?!?
